Toddlers & Tiaras Stars: Where Are They Now?
Tantrums, toddlers and tiaras — the three T’s that pretty much described what Toddlers & Tiaras was all about. Oh, and hairspray — it’s not a T, but the show had a lot of hairspray. Love it or hate it, the reality TV series kept fans tuning in for more and brought us some of the best GIF and meme material for years.
Some of the kids from the show have gone on to star in other shows, while others have returned to their regular lives. Some have completely disappeared from the public eye, probably due to controversial moments on the show. Let’s take a look at where the Toddlers & Tiaras cast members are now.
Isabella Barrett
Isabella Barrett was also a huge Toddlers & Tiaras breakout star. Since then, she has created quite an impressive resume and even won the Little Miss America 2012 crown. She was featured in several film projects, according to IMDb, and she appears to still be pursuing her passion for modeling.
She also founded a clothing and jewelry line called Glitzy Girl, and she has released several songs. These days, Isabella is one of the youngest self-made millionaires, with plenty more projects set to be released in the next few years. In Hollywood, she is known as a fashion designer, mogul and young entrepreneur.
Destiny Christian
Destiny shocked the world when she performed a Grease routine, complete with a (fake) cigarette. It was a pretty controversial moment that became one of the most iconic Toddlers & Tiaras scenes. In fact, it actually shocked a TV journalist to the point that she demanded to know why her mom had allowed her to do it.
These days, Destiny seems to be living a relatively normal life. She has had some acting roles, but she mainly loves to sing and dance. Hopefully, she stays away from any kind of cigarettes.
Eden Wood
Eden Wood was one of the most popular Toddlers & Tiaras cast members. She has worked in modeling since she was six months old, and she stole our hearts on the show with her personality — and her meltdowns. After the show, she played Darla in The Little Rascals Save the Day.
According to her website, she is also interested in dance and playing guitar, all while maintaining straight A’s as an honor student. Eden is still determined to make it in the modeling world, and it’s safe to say that Toddlers & Tiaras helped her become even more confident.
Kylie LaDuca
The “fearless and ferocious” Kylie LaDuca was among some of the most popular contestants on the show. She grabbed people’s attention with relatable remarks, admitting that money is her favorite part of the entire competition, for example. We hear that!
Kylie continued her pageant career, and she also had a few acting roles in 2012 and 2013. Since then, it looks like she returned to a slightly normal life. She’s part of a dance team, and her Instagram page says she’s continuing with her passion for modeling. We hope she’s just as ferocious as she was on the show.
Madison Berg
Madison Berg, a.k.a. Tootie, was a typical Toddlers & Tiaras diva. Her controversial stage mom made T&T fans swarm to social media to critique her parenting, saying she was raising a spoiled brat. Over the years, Madison received an endless amount of online bullying.
After continuing to model during her teenage years, she finally quit in 2018, saying modeling wrecked her mental health from personal attacks both online and in real life. Leaving modeling made her more comfortable in her own skin, although she admits that she still has days when she struggles with self-image.
Alycesaundra and Giavanna Lyerly
Known as the Tiara Twins, Alycesaundra and Giavanna Lyerly had a pretty popular Toddlers & Tiaras episode. After all, it’s rare to see two sassy pageant girls who pretty much look alike. Their episode was pretty well received, despite the lack of significant controversies, which allowed the twins to stay in the spotlight without hiding from social media.
It looks like these two continue to do pageants and modeling these days. Nothing seems to have changed since Toddlers & Tiaras, and they both seem to enjoy what they’re doing. Let’s give a high five to another pair of contestants who managed to escape controversies while on the show.
Paisley Dickey
One of the most memorable and controversial Toddlers & Tiaras characters was Peppermint Paisley — real name Paisley Dickey. She certainly raised some eyebrows when her mom dressed her as a character from Pretty Woman.
She now goes by the name Paisley Scott, and she has had several small TV roles, including a character on Nicky, Ricky, Dicky & Dawn. As of December 2019, her IMDb page says she is one of the main characters in a short called Inside Extra. Judging by the character’s names, the film may be about pageants. Maybe Peppermint Paisley is returning!
Kayla Hatton
Ah, Kayla Hatton — where do we even begin? Most known for her Shirley Temple outfit, she caused a lot of controversy among Toddlers & Tiaras viewers. Her performance also spawned a lot of opposing opinions and actually went viral, making her one of the most infamous contestants to appear on the show.
Since her Toddlers & Tiaras days, Kayla has returned to regular life. It looks like she’s still into cheerleading and dance, but she seems to be leaving the pageant world behind. Hopefully, she left behind that Shirley Temple outfit too.
Brenna Gaskin
Brenna was one of the sassiest Toddlers & Tiaras personalities ever. From screaming to randomly falling down in interviews, she entertained and deserved some long-term success. Her videos got millions of views. Many people agreed she had a lot of attitude and needed a Super Nanny, but she was also hilarious.
These days, Brenna is living a low-key life. Her family isn’t active on social media, and her fan accounts receive more hate and criticism than love. It looks like the Gaskins have stepped far away from the spotlight. Who knows — maybe they did actually get a Super Nanny and turn everything around.
Alaska Mathews
Not all Toddlers & Tiaras cast members got an immediate happy ending. For Alaska Mathews, the show was just the beginning of controversy and scandals. Let’s not forget her mom actually put permanent mascara on her daughter, even though Alaska tried to refuse.
In 2013, her mother went on Dr. Phil to address the alleged abuse of Alaska on the TLC show. By the end, Alaska’s appearance on Toddlers & Tiaras received plenty of unwanted, dangerous attention. These days, Alaska appears to still be participating in pageants as well as doing things that make her a regular kid.
Karmen Walker
Let’s talk about Karmen Walker. You might remember her — or her mom — as the crying, spray-tanned pageant kid. In one of the most heartbreaking moments on the show, Karmen said she was smiling on the inside, while looking incredibly sad on the outside. Relatable.
The controversy surrounding that moment appeared to make Karmen’s mom pull her child out of any pageants. You won’t find a lot of info on Karmen these days, which hopefully means her mother no longer forces her to spray tan while she ignores her heartbreaking tears. It looks like they moved on from the “anything for the crown” motto.
SamiJo Grace
Remember the mom who modeled a G-string in front of her 2-year-old kid? That kid was SamiJo Grace. Her mom believed that exposing children to everything possible would lead them to accept a culturally diverse world.
She also put her 2-year-old in a lot of Victoria’s Secret clothing. These days, SamiJo appears to be a cheerleader who has left the pageant world behind. Right after the first Toddlers & Tiaras appearance, her mom announced that her husband had filed for divorce because he couldn’t handle the crazy world of beauty pageants.
Emerald Gordon Wulf
Emerald Gordon Wulf was one of the most grounded Toddlers & Tiaras contestants to appear on the show. There was nothing controversial about the mother and daughter duo. They just wanted to put on a show, and Emerald was able to survive the show without any controversies or scandals.
These days, she no longer walks pageant runways. Instead, she became a professional contortionist, which has allowed her to continue her passion for performance and turn it into something with an even bigger wow-factor. She is very popular on Instagram, with almost 200,000 followers as of December 2019.
Allyson Yates
Allyson went viral after it was revealed that she spray tans because she wants to look “brown like Beyonce.” Her episode received a lot of backlash from the media, and the moment is still viral with millions of views. Still, it made sense why Allyson never returned to Toddlers & Tiaras.
It was also revealed on her Facebook page that the viral segment still causes Allyson to receive a lot of negative attention at school. Her mom, who manages all her social media accounts, also stated that she is becoming involved in theater, but pageants remain her passion.
Olivia McKinnon
Olivia is the little girl screaming about wanting a crown in the promos for her season. She was described as a sassy pageant princess who loves glitz. Her grown-up attitude was pretty impressive, and she delivered a lot of funny one-liners. She also put her mom in actual time out.
Since the Toddlers & Tiaras days, Olivia has stepped out of the pageant world and resumed her life as a normal kid. It looks like her mom did enjoy watching Here Comes Honey Boo Boo, but Olivia seems to prefer a low-key life away from the viral pageant buzz.
Jaidyn McCurley
Jaidyn made quite a statement when she said that no one’s going to kick her hiney. She was described as sassy to the core, and she was pretty confident about winning the pageant. If you could only have that level of confidence again, right? Although she had a few tantrums, her episode was pretty well received.
Jaidyn is still a pageant girl and like some of the others on this list, she’s also into cheerleading. Her Twitter bio says she also loves soccer, but it looks like she has left the world of TV glitz and glam behind.
Elizabeth Mueller
Elizabeth was born with glitter in her veins. She admitted that her personality is “way over the top” and that she is spoiled, with full understanding of what that means. She was a lot to handle on the show, but her episode garnered millions of views. Her mom even got her a private helicopter to take her to the pageant because she couldn’t be bothered to sit in traffic.
After Toddlers & Tiaras, Elizabeth appeared in a 90210 episode and got a role in a movie called 1 Interrogation. She still seems to love performing, and according to her mom’s YouTube channel, she also likes to sing.
Madisyn Verst
Madisyn Verst was another controversial Toddlers & Tiaras contestant. Her infamous moment on stage went viral, and her parents were highly criticized. Why? They allowed Maddy to wear a padded bra for her pageant performance. Not disturbing enough? She wore it while she was portraying Dolly Parton.
The backlash was so intense that Maddy’s parents became involved in a custody battle. After the show, Maddy and her mom appeared on national TV to talk about the controversial moment. Adding to the controversy, Madisyn’s dad was arrested several times, including for domestic violence. Nice.
Brooke McKown
Pageant dads were a rare gem on Toddlers & Tiaras, but they made everything so much more fun. Brooke McKown’s dad was the reason Brooke’s appearance on the show went viral. He was a bodybuilder, and he came under fire for body-shaming some of the moms on the show.
It looks like the Toddlers & Tiaras experience wasn’t good for the bodybuilding business, because the McKowns aren’t found online. Brooke’s dad even stopped updating his bodybuilding social media site. The backlash they received from the show was definitely enough to inspire this family to lay low.
Mia Grande
Mia Grande was known for her super inappropriate Madonna performance. Let’s just say her outfit didn’t sit well with viewers. That’s right — she wore Madonna’s infamous cone outfit. While it might have looked good on Madonna, it’s something you should never have to see on a child. Mia and her mother had quite a controversial appearance on the show.
These days, Mia is more involved with cheerleading as she competes with Jersey Allstars. She is also into gymnastics and appears to have cooled her interest in TV screen time. From the looks of it, the Grandes have no plans to return to TV anytime soon.
Laci Crews
The sassy diva Laci Crews had some stellar one-liners on the show, claiming she’s all that and a bag of chips. Before the show, she never lost a pageant, and she was determined to practice every day. Laci and her mom later appeared on Anderson Cooper, where it became her mom’s time to put on a pageant-worthy performance.
The two haven’t been in the news since, so it looks like they left the pageant world and returned to a low-key life. Either way, it seems like Laci might be having a normal childhood — hopefully, with a lot of chips.
Kailia Deliz
Kailia has to be one of the most GIF-worthy Toddlers & Tiaras contestants ever. In fact, her primary GIF is probably more popular than her actual episode, although she did have moments that prompted viewers to laugh out loud. She admitted that she likes to win because she gets money, and she loves money.
Kailia still loves to dance and perform. In September 2019, she announced that she’s back in the pageant business, and it looks like she’s doing just as well as she did on Toddlers & Tiaras. We hope her big money wishes come true.
Hallee Roseann
Hallee wanted everyone to know that she was not a Republican. She was a “demorat” (her words) who would happily love to see Hillary Clinton win the election. Unfortunately, she didn’t get to see that happen, but what did happen was yet another viral Toddlers & Tiaras video.
Since her pageant days, Hallee seems to have left politics behind. Although she still loves to model, she is also an elite cheerleader, according to her Instagram. Even though she had a lot of charisma, it looks like Hallee has abandoned the TV world and focused more on performing. We wonder if she’s still a “demorat.”
Mackenzie Broach
“It’s exhausting, being this beautiful,” Mackenzie said in one of the best Toddlers & Tiaras quotes out there. Along with a cute quote, she actually managed to escape Toddlers & Tiaras without negative controversies. Her episode was well received, and she left a positive impression.
Although Mackenzie was extremely charismatic, it looks like she didn’t continue with any other TV roles. She does have a YouTube channel where she shows off some of her singing skills, but it hasn’t been updated in years. It looks like her family decided to either not update her pageant progress on social media, or she isn’t involved in them anymore.
Sophia-Rayne
Sophia-Rayne was an absolutely adorable character who was confident that her cheeks would bring her a win — and so they did. Honestly, can we get some of that confidence? Everyone could certainly use it. Her episode was absolutely adorable with no controversies involved. We love it when that happens!
Sophia’s cheeks are still going strong, and according to her IMDb, she landed a few roles in 2019. By the looks of it, she returned to TV, so who knows, maybe we’ll see her on the tube sometime soon.
Janeyah Chisley
Janeyah was known for her over-the-top sassy attitude — and boy did she have a lot of it. Despite this, she was praised for being a well-rounded kid that didn’t let her tantrums get the best of her. Her two moms were also given kudos for allowing her to be a relatively normal pageant girl.
Janeyah continued to do pageants and became more popular after her appearance on the show. Thank goodness for no controversial Toddlers & Tiaras moments! It looks like all her sisters are now involved in competing in pageants, and they all seem to be doing well.
Taylor Atelian
Okay, here’s someone who didn’t actually appear on Toddlers & Tiaras as a pageant girl. She was the pageant judge! Her episodes mainly aired in 2013. Over the past two decades, you may have seen Taylor in plenty of shows without even knowing it.
Interestingly, Toddlers & Tiaras seems to be the last project Taylor did, at least according to her IMDb page. Although she previously played Ruby in According to Jim, she hasn’t really done any TV work since her role as a pageant judge. Her social media seems to be private, and it looks like she is taking a break from the TV world.
Ma’Leeh
One of the most shocking things about Ma’Leeh is that her mother revealed to the entire nation that the kid wasn’t her favorite. To top it all off, Ma’Leeh was crying about how she had no friends and no one to play with at the time. In true Madonna style, she goes by a single name — although she certainly has a last name in real life.
The episode received so much backlash that it might be possible the family wanted to get out of the spotlight as quickly as possible. It’s practically impossible to find anything on Ma’Leeh or her mother, so it’s safe to say this might have been her last pageant.
Honey Boo Boo
Let’s take a minute to honor one of the most famous Toddlers & Tiaras contestants ever. Honey Boo Boo, a.k.a. Alana Thompson, was known for her bold personality and the “go-go juice” made by her mother to hype her up.
Alana became so popular in the reality TV world that she got her own show and was one of the biggest child TV personalities of her time. That climb to fame came with plenty of controversies. These days, Honey Boo Boo is dealing with her mother’s drug and alcohol problems while living with her older sister, who is reportedly trying to gain custody of Alana.
Ava Bartello
Ava Bartello gave us some pretty good insight into what happens when a child doesn’t win something — complete and utter tantrum. Her episode was full of drama, and let’s be honest — it was absolutely hilarious!
These days, Ava seems to be a regular kid doing regular things. It looks like her pageant days are behind her, although she continues to entertain people by uploading YouTube videos. We just hope she has recovered from the dramatic second-place Toddlers & Tiaras fiasco.
