Star fruit flesh is light-green to yellow with crisp juicy pulp. Star fruit is low in calories and high in fiber, vitamin C and antioxidant flavonoids.
People with kidney disease should not eat star fruit. It contains an amino acid that acts as a neurotoxin in people with this condition.
