How Much Weight Can a Nissan Frontier Tow?

Depending on the model, engine size and transmission, the 2015 Nissan Frontier has a towing capacity between 3,500 and 6,500 pounds. The SV V6 King Cab 4×2 and Desert Runner V6 models lead the pack amongst all Nissan Frontier models, while the Pro-4X model tows up to 6,300 pounds.

For towing lightweight trailers, Nissan offers different ball mounts. From a Class II mount capable of towing up to 3,500 for the 4-cylinder models, to the weight-distributing hitch ball mount for towing jobs over 5,000 pounds for V6 models. All mounts, including optional towing harness, are dealer-installed options. While the Nissan Frontier is not a full-sized pickup, it has the capability to tow some very large items.
