Each player’s chip count at the Main Event of the World Series of Poker is determined by the amount of chips that he or she has earned during the proceeding days of the tournament. Over 26 million chips separate the top and bottom players in the 2014 Main Event.

Thousands of poker players enter the $10,000 No-Limit Main Event each year. The final nine that form the final table collect chips from opponents that they beat at each table over several days until only nine players remain. For this reason there are wildly different chip counts at the final table.
