The cooking time for a 22-pound turkey is approximately 4.5 to 5 hours for a turkey without stuffing or 4.75 to 5.25 hours for a stuffed turkey.
Although it is useful to have cooking time estimations, the most important thing is the reading on the meat thermometer when inserted in the thigh. Turkeys should be cooked at 325 F, and they are done when the thermometer reads 165 F for a turkey without stuffing and 175 F to 180 F for a stuffed turkey. Cooking times are shorter in convection ovens, but again, the meat thermometer determines when the turkey is cooked.
