Kenmore refrigerators are made for Sears by a variety of other appliance manufacturers, including Whirlpool, LG and Frigidaire. To determine the manufacturer, look at the first three or four digits of the refrigerator’s model number. The prefix will correspond to a specific manufacturer; for example, Whirlpool-made products usually start with the prefix 198 or 106.

Models labeled “Kenmore” may differ in price from products labeled “Whirlpool,” even if they were made by Whirlpool.
