How Do You Find Frigidaire Range Recall Lists?
The list of Frigidaire range models that have been recalled can be found by searching the Recalls section of the U.S. Consumer Product Safety Commission (CPSC). Alternatively, appliance owners can visit the official Frigidaire website and follow the Product Recall link in the Customer Support section.
The CPSC is the federal agency tasked with protecting the public from risks of harm caused by defective consumer products, such as appliances, so all range recalls go through the agency. Entering “Frigidaire ranges” into the Search Recalls and News Alerts search field in the Recalls section of the website pulls up every recall notice for Frigidaire ranges going back to 1997.
As of 2015, the Frigidaire website directs customers to a search engine at LaundryPumpRecall.com. This Frigidaire portal lets customers pull up a list of recalled ranges by clicking on category links for Smoothtop Ranges, Electric Smoothtop Slide-In Ranges and Cooktops, or Self-Clean Gas Ranges under the Browse by Recall heading. These links pull up an easy-to-read listing of recalled model numbers, along with a description of the associated hazard and the recommended remedy.
Frigidaire customers can also enter a model number into the Enter a Model # search field under the Recall: Electric Smoothtop Slide-In Ranges and Cooktops section of the LaundryPumpRecall.com page to check if a specific range appliance is on any of the three lists included in the Browse section.
