There is no film version of Lois Lowry’s “Number the Stars” novel, as of 2015. Actor Sean Astin and his wife Christine purchased film rights to the movie and are developing a movie adaptation.
As of 2011, Sean Astin and his wife had written a screenplay and were awaiting funds to begin production work. Sean Astin purchased the rights to the film in 2011 and was set to film the adaptation in 2012 in Denmark, but he provided no updates as to the film’s production status after that. No information about the film, its production or its impending release is available.
