When Did the PS4 Come Out?

Sony released the PlayStation 4 video game console on Nov. 15, 2013 in North America. The PS4 released on Nov. 29, 2013 in Europe and Australia and on Feb. 22, 2014 in Japan.

The PS4 is 10 times more powerful than the PS3; the newer console features 1.843 teraflops of floating point performance. The PS4 weighs 6.1 pounds, just over half of the weight of the regular 11-pound PS3 but slightly more than the 4.6-pound Super Slim PS3. The PS4’s memory features 8 gigabytes of unified memory with 256 megabytes of RAM for background tasks, along with a 500-gigabyte hard drive.
