How Do You Apply a Wave Nouveau?
To apply a Wave Nouveau to hair, purchase and use the Wave Nouveau Phase One Shape Release according to the directions on the bottle along with the Phase Two Shape Transformer and styling rods, Phase Three Shape Lock and the Wave Nouveau finishing solution. The Wave Nouveau Body Perm is a chemical treatment designed for African American hair that produces a permanent curl or loose wave pattern and requires daily maintenance.
Apply the Phase One Shape Release to hair, and allow the chemical to remain on the hair for 10 minutes. Check the hair to see if it has reached the desired level of straightness. If not, leave the chemical on for a maximum time of 15 minutes. Rinse thoroughly with lukewarm water to remove the chemical from the hair.
Section the hair, and apply the Phase Two Shape Transformer while placing hair on styling rods. Place a plastic conditioning cap over hair. Allow the rods to sit in the hair for up to 30 minutes.
After 30 minutes, apply a cotton strip around the hairline to prevent the product from dripping onto the skin. While hair is still on the rods, apply the Phase Three Shape Lock to each rod. After 10 minutes, remove rods from hair, and rinse thoroughly. Towel-blot the hair, and apply the finishing solution. Avoid shampooing hair for 48 hours to prevent hair from reverting.
