The test tube rack is an apparatus used in a laboratory to hold and transport test tubes during experiments or while examining cultures. They can also accommodate other lab tools, such as stirring rods and pipettes. Test tube racks may also be referred to as test tube holders.

Test tube racks are made from a variety of materials, such as metal, plastic and polypropylene, in order to serve different purposes and withstand various elements, like extreme heat and subzero temperatures. They may be designed to accommodate a variety of test tube sizes and hold different numbers of test tubes simultaneously.
