Morkie puppies are considered full grown once they reach 1 year of age. They have an expected lifespan of 12 to 15 years with quality care. Furthermore, they are considered to be affectionate, loyal, obedient and require very little in terms of grooming.

Morkies do require a larger amount of attention than most dogs. However, because of their small size, they do not need as much exercise as standard dogs, which makes them ideal for smaller houses or apartments. Males can grow to be between 4 and 15 pounds, whereas females may be bit smaller. The morkie is a hybrid breed made up of the Yorkshire and Maltese, from which the morkie derives its name.
