The two peninsulas found in Mexico are the Yucatan Peninsula and the Baja California Peninsula. The Yucatan Peninsula is located in southeastern Mexico, and the Baja California Peninsula is located in northwestern Mexico.
The Yucatan Peninsula separates the Caribbean Sea from the Gulf of Mexico and contains the Mexican states of Yucatan, Campeche and Quintana Roo. The Baja California Peninsula separates the Pacific Ocean from the Gulf of Mexico and contains the San Felipe Desert, the Central Coast Desert, the Vizcaíno Desert and the Magdalena Plain Desert. It is separated from the mainland by the Gulf of Mexico and the Colorado River.
