To earn two points per dollar, use your Barclaycard Rewards MasterCard for utility, grocery or gas purchases, as stated by Barclaycard. All other purchases allow you to earn one point per dollar.
Cash back statement credits decrease your account balance, although they are not applicable to any minimum payment, according to Barclaycard. The credit typically appears on a cardholder’s account within five to seven business days. If you opt to redeem points for merchandise, Barclaycard sends the products to your U.S. street address. If you redeem points for gift cards or gift certificates, the company can send the items to a U.S. street address or a P.O. Box.
The Barclaycard Rewards MasterCard offers fraud liability to protect customers from unauthorized transaction and does not charge an annual fee, notes Barclaycard. Additionally, Barclaycard does not restrict the number of points cardholders can earn, and reward points do not expire if the account stays active and in good standing.
