While a Cirrus card may be used at any MasterCard, Maestro, or Cirrus ATM, in the United States, these ATMs are typically operated by a partnering financial institution. If the financial institution that operates an ATM is different from the financial institution that issued the Cirrus card, it may charge fees in order to use the ATM. To avoid these ATM fees, Cirrus customers can select the financial institution that issued the Cirrus card when using MasterCard’s ATM locator in order to find the nearest ATM operated by that financial institution.
