How Can You Withdraw Money From a TD Ameritrade Brokerage Account?
TD Ameritrade customers can withdraw money from their accounts by requesting a wire transfer or a paper check, according to Ameritrade. Both services are available online on the account services page, by sending a letter through the mail, or by calling Ameritrade.
To withdraw by wire transfer, the name on the receiving bank account must match the name on the Ameritrade account, states Ameritrade. The customer also needs the bank routing number and account number. As of 2015, there is a $20 fee for a wire transfer. Alternatively, a customer may request a paper check without paying a fee. There is a fee, however, if the customer requests that Ameritrade send the check to an address other than the one listed on the account.
